Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC)
The Mental Health Peer Support Project provides paid work experience and skill building. There is an 8-week training in crisis intervention, Social Security benefits, case management, community resources, advocacy, housing issues, goal setting, and statistical reporting. After the training is a 10-week internship that places the participants in mental health agencies.
Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Eligibility Requirements
lived experience with the process of recovery from mental illness, substance use disorder, or both; basic Digital Literary Skills and have a working Laptop or Tablet
