Heart Club is a social and recreational club for teens, and adults with developmental, physical, and/or learning disabilities. Activities include crafts, meals, dances, games, and sports. Activities take place at Gerdes Park.
Community Lawyers, Inc. hosts legal clinics on the educational rights of children with disabilities. The clinics provide reviews of the Individualized Education Plan (“IEP”), advice on procedural protections, and document preparation.
CAPC, Inc. provides case management services to adults 18 years and older. They assist individuals in developing support systems within their communities.
OneGeneration offers assistance to family members who require support while working or caring for their loved ones. Program participants engage in invigorating activities, social interactions, and physical exercises.
WDACS provides emergency food assistance to families, older adults, and other individuals at community and senior centers through the Emergency Food Assistance Program.
DCBA offers certification programs for small businesses. Certified businesses may participate in Los Angeles County\’s preference programs which offer incentives to business owners who are minorities, women, disadvantaged, or disabled veterans.
REACH helps individuals with communication barriers and their communication partners better understand the individual\’s communication needs, with the least amount of support necessary. All communication coaching is provided by trained staff.
